Here at Actions, we can tailor a training programme to suit either individuals or groups of students, which will stimulate, encourage and empower them.
All of our training is based around Automotive Engineering and linked to qualifications offered bu City & Guilds of London. We fully understand that not all students are suited to full-time school life, and we have proved by our previous successes that students can still leave school with nationally recognised qualifications which can lead to either further education or employment.
Students will work in our fully-equipped workshops, learning to use equipment such as vehicle jacks, hoists, spring compressors and tyre changing machines.
Example programmes include:
City & Guilds Level 1 Introduction to Vehicle Systems Maintenance
- Vehicle engine lubrication systems
- Vehicle engine cooling systems
- vehicle fuel and exhaust systems
- vehicle spark ignition systems
- Vehicle electrical systems
- Vehicle braking systems
- Vehicle transmission systems
- Vehicle steering and suspension systems
- Vehicle wheel and tyre systems
- Vehicle hand skills and manufacturing techniques
Students are encouraged to progress their learning to take in the following qualification:
City & Guilds VRQ Diploma in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair which employers recognise as a stepping stone into employment through apprenticeship.
